Captain Andrés appeared at the home of Gelkis Salinas Parra, whom he detained and transferred to the PNR (National Revolutionary Police) sector.
Once in the barracks, the captain tried to persuade Gelkis to abandon his activities with UNPACU (Patriotic Union of Cuba).
Upon the refusal of Salinas Parra, he was threated by Captain Andrés with imprisonment and a fine of 5000 pesos.
