Regime Opponent Detained and Threatened

When Marlon Martorell Guillermo Quiñones, the provincial Director of the Republican Party of Cuba (Partido Republicano de Cuba, PRC), was returning home from a meeting of the party, accompanied by the municpal director of PRC and the provincial spokesperson, the police stopped him. They searched his belongings and handcuffed him, squeezing his hands, which was causing him each time more pain as the time passed. Then, he was taken to the police station of the municipality and was jailed in a dirty place full of cockroaches and mice. After four and a half hours of being there, they threatened him they would make him disappear. In the end he was released. He came home late at night since he had lost the transportation and the money he had paid for it.
