Human rights activist María Luisa was going to participate in a Mass at the church in Parque Marti in the city of Guantanamo to demand the release of political prisoners. She was violently detained on her way to the Mass along with several Ladies in White by the State Security officers. She was transferred to the police unit where she was arrested for 3 hours and threatened by Captain Sergio and officer Kevin with going to the prison and losing custody of her children.
