On 31 March, 2015, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Roelvis Cuba Sendo, was on the way to his work. Suddenly, he was detained by the State Security officials in the neighborhood of Río Guaso. When detaining him, the officials beat him up and then took him to a patrol unit. There, they confiscated his vehicle he uses for his work as a freelancer and took him to a unit known as Operations. At this place, he was again beaten up by the officials. All this happened because he attached to his vehicle a poster which was saying: "All of us will win with the UNPACU, we are waiting for you."
