Lady in White was threatened and detained for 17 hours

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the Lady in White Raquel María Rodríguez Morejón was on a bus to the Catholic Church in the Province of Pinar del Rio in order to attend a Sunday Mass organized by the Ladies in White. She was detained by several State Security officers and taken to the Pinar del Río's Police Station. There, she was interrogated. She was told that they would no longer have any patience with her and that the church was forbidden to her. They also warned her that every time she gets detained, she would be imprisoned and she could even be prosecuted for any crime invented against the counterrevolutionaries, such as contempt, resistance or an attack on any policeman. She was detained for 17 hours, being released in a morning with a warning that if she was arrested again, it would be for more than 48 hours and the treatment would be much more undesirable.
