Virgen Martines Magaña was at home on a hunger strike along with her brother Carlos Amel. For that reason, their house was all day surrounded by Anti-Riot Police a secret police officials. At night, the officials broke into the house, put her into the patrol car and drove her to the Police Department in Palmarito de Cauto. After a while, she got an epileptic seizure and lost consciousness. When she woke up, she was in the Ezequiel Miranda Hospital. There was a police official next to her stretcher and was touching her intimate parts. Virgen immediately started protesting and the official threatened her with death. Later on, she was put in a patrol car and driven outside the city. She was also threatened that if she continued the hunger strike, she would be beaten to death.
