On February 2, Graciela Domínguez Girón was detained in the early morning on the road heading from Palma to Santiago by two police officers who were in command of Yudelkis Girón and Raul Despaine, agents of the political police. The UNPACU activist was going to El Cobre to attend mass.
After they detained her, she was beaten and taken to the PNR of Palma Soriano where she remained for more than 6 hours, facing threats and insults by agents of the political police.
