Activist detained again when heading to Mass



Bartolo Cantillo Romero cooperates with the Ladies in White Movement and with the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU). On 13 October, he was detained by the State Security (DSE) official known as Víctor Víctor when he walking down the Los Maceos Street and 3 Sur in Guantánamo. He was on his way to the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church with an intention to attend the Sunday Mass there. Then he was driven to the police station in the municipality of El Salvador. There he was kept in detention until the next day and at 8pm, he was finally released. On the top of that, Bartolo has been threatened on several ocassions with imprisonment for his political activism.
