The sector chief Gianny Clape Rodríguez, the president of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) Angel Santana and the assistant Julia Morales, went to the home of the activist Víctor Martín Frometa Lovaina in order to carry out a search. The activist asked the officers to show him the search warrant, to which Captain Gianny Clape Rodríguez responded that he did not need a warrant to search the house of a counterrevolutionary, that they had information that he kept enemy propaganda in his house, and that therefore they could search his house. The activist was detained and taken to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) unit, where he remained for more than 12 hours and was subjected to intense interrogation. The officials of the Department of State Security (DSE) wanted him to tell them where and by whom he was given the documents to be kept in his house. However, they never showed him the documents they had supposedly found. The activist, after being detained and interrogated, was released after an official from the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) gave him an official warning, because he allegedly participated in counter-revolutionary activities and because he had no employment ties.
