Human rights activist prevented from boarding her flight to Miami



The activist Caridad María Burunate Gómez was prevented from boarding the flight to Miami on Thursday, 24 October, at 11:55 am. Despite having her passport in order, the migration officers in the Terminal 3 at the José Martí International Airport in Havana did not allow her to travel. Burunate Gómez had been invited by the Pan-American Democracy Foundation for an event which was supposed to be held in Miami on Friday, 25 October in the Tower of Liberty.
