Lismeiri was arrested and condemned by the agents of the State Security, the National Police and paramilitary mobs after having participated in a Mass at the Church of Santa Rita de Casia. She was going to lay flowers at the sea to honour the memory of the of victims of the "13 March Tugboat disaster". She was taken to the detention center of Tarará where she was detained for several hours.
