On the afternoon of June 10, 2014, Claudino Láudino Matos, a 45-year-old self-employed vendor, was arrested on Prado and el 10 este reparto San Justo streets in Guantánamo by the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and the called comprehensive inspectors. They wanted to fine Claudino 100 pesos for selling while being parked since his patent did not allow it. Láudino Matos tried to explain to them that he had only stopped to dispatch a product. The area's sector chief, Olympio Moreira Matos, did not approve of his explanation so he detained Claudino and transferred him to the station (PNR) for alleged contempt. After 48 hours, Claudino Láudino Matos was set free after paying a fine of 500 pesos and the products he was selling were confiscated.
