Citizen from Guantánamo detained while expressing her political opinions



Irina García Fernández was detained by a sector chief and a State Security agent when she was protesting against an arbitrary detention they were just processing against her. The reason was that she was openly expressing her disagreement with the new constitutional project and saying slogans against the regime. She was then put by force to a patrol car by policemen and driven to the unit called Parque 24. There she was kept in detention for six hours. After that, the policemen issued her an official warning and threatened her that she could be procecuted if she continued expressing herself in the same way.
