Lady in White detained and beaten



On April 17, 2016, María Cristina was leaving the Ladies in White Headquarters. She was suddenly stopped by National Revolutionary Police, State Security officials, Rapid Response Unit and Communist Party members. She was detained and beaten by them, so she could not attend Mass she was heading to. She was detained for more than 10 hours.
