On December 18, people throughout Cuba called for the release of political prisoners and respect for civil society and human rights. Activist Kirenia García Frometa was on her way to Martí Park when she was arrested by police and State Security agents Kevin, Antoni and Alex in the neighborhood of La Azúcar where she lives. The policemen were under the command of Captain Sergio, head of Confrontation in Guantanamo. She was transferred to the police unit where she remained for more than 2 hours and was threatened by officer Sergio with imprisonment and losing the custody of her daughters.
