Yeider Fuentes Áreas was going to attend a protest march which was being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and the end political repression in Cuba. He was detained at checkpoint of Caimanera by Major Cantillo and driven to the police station where he was threatened and intimidated for his activism in field of human rights. He was released several hours later.
