A man from Baracoa threatened and fined for listening to "controversial music"



The chief of the Confrontation Unit, Alfredo Olivero, appeared in the house of Eliober Navarro Gainza in order to threaten him with imprisonment if he publicly kept listening to controversial songs such as those by Los Aldeanos and the song La Patria y Vida. Also, he told him that he gives him a moth to find a job. Eliober, defending himself, replied that he had had a job but it had been three months his contact in a construction company had been terminated. The official said that it was not his problem and if he had not a job in a month, he would be prosecuted under the law on dangerousness. Moreover, he fined him 30 CUP for causing a public scandal.
