Cuban citizen attacked, threatened and fined by drunken state agents



A Cuban citizen was unloading merchandise at a commercial center on the boulevard of the city of Baracoa, when the sector chief accompanied by another police officer in plain clothes, both drunken, attacked him for no reason. The citizen suffered minor damage to his face and chest, was taken to the police station and left in custody until the next day. He was fined for disorderly conduct without any right of complaint. He was released by the chief of police who threatened him saying that if he told that the police officers were drunk he would be taken to prison and his bicycle taxi confiscated.
