MCL activist detained, injured and sentenced without evidence

The victim was resting in his house porch when he was arrested by the police that hit him severely, causing him a head trauma that left him with sequelae and because of this, after a few days, it gave him dizziness in the bathroom of the prison and he suffered a fall for which he received 7 stitches. The victim was tried before a court without any proof for the crime of burglary. The police had linked him to a robbery that supposedly took place while he was traveling in a rental car and he was arrested on the road to the town of Aguas Claras, Eastern District of Gibara. His family says this is a setup as the victim has been previously repeatedly threatened and this is just the consequence of these threats because he is a member of the of Movimiento Cristiano de Liberación (M.C.L).
