An activist Raúl Martínez Caraballo was on his way to Santiago de Cuba province to take part in a protest march which was being conducted to demand the release of political prisoners and to end political repression against activists. At 6:20, the police intercepted a bus Raul was travelling by and detained him. He was taken to the police station where State Security official Pedro threatened with imprisonment for meeting with counterrevolutionary activists. Raúl was released few hours later.
