In the afternoon, 18 September, 2020, Bartolo Cantillo Romero, an activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), was riding his bike on the Formadora Avenue in the city of Guantánamo. Suddenly, he was surrounded by several officials and detained. They handcuffed him, put him in the patrol car no. 603 and drove him to the police unit called Parque 24. There, they issued him an official warning due to his meetings with "a counter-revolutionary element", an activist Henry Couto Guzmán. Moreover, State Security officials present in the police unit (namely Kevin, Víctor, Lionis and Antonio) confiscated him his bike, cell phone and money. "Don't keep doing the same mistake, look at what happened to Henry Couto," said Kevin, refering to Couto's case when he was kidnapped. At 7 pm, Bartolo was released.
