On Sunday, 20 January 2019, a human rights defender and a member of the Ladies in White, Dianelis Moreno Soto, was about to leave her house to attend the Mass as she does on every Sunday. However, she was arbitrary detained by the State Security official known as Dayron. He prevented her from continuing her way and took her to the National Revolutionary Police Unit (PNR) in the municipality Carlos Rojas. There she was detained for almost two hours and then released. Before her release, she was threatened with being prosecuted if she continued with her counterrevolutionary activities carried out with the Ladies in White.
