September 13, 2015 Yusmary Ortega Izquierdo was heading at the first meeting of the Forum for Rights and Freedoms in the home of lawyer Jose Ernesto Morales. She was arrested by uniformed policewomen by order the captain of the State Security Juan Perez. She was arrested with violence. A police caught her hair while the other caught her by the arms and dragged for 15 meters until mounted on a police car. She suffered burns on her feet and bruises on her body. In the police station, she was prosecuted for contempt resistance. She was only warned and released after four hour.
