Minerva Blanco Vargas received an unofficial summons by an uniformed policeman in to present herself at the police station on 21 August 2013. When she arrived there she was detained until the next day when she was transferred to a detention center. In the center she had an abortion because of taking an abortion pill before her arrest. The police refused to take her into the hospital even if the abortion can be very complicated in such a conditions. She was released the next day without any explication about her detention.
