Lázara Barbara was detained by the agents of the political police when she was leaving her house to attend the Mass in Santa Rita de Casia church. The Mass was organized by her group of Ladies in White. She was transferred to the 7th police unit where she remained in jail from 9:15 am to 2:20 pm. She was threatened that they would detain her every time she would go to the church.
